Employed as a Medical Technical Officer to design and implement a modern relational database system to report the Department's tumour marker results to clinicians.
Main achievements

Enabled numerical and graphical authorisation and reporting of cumulated clinical results for the Tumour Marker Service.
Permitted processing of over 500 samples per week for more than 40,000 patients.
Created expert system to provide clinical interpretative comments.
Devised security policy to guarantee data integrity and privacy.

ISOBM 2003 [31st Meeting of the International Society of Oncodevelopmental Biology and Medicine, Edinburgh, September 2003]
[April 2002 - September 2003]
Contracted to design and maintain a computer system for management of this International Meeting, which attracted over 400 delegates. Remit included all aspects of programming and support of a computerised system for delegate registration and abstract submission, as well as design and maintenance of the meeting website.
Main achievements

Created automated system to handle registration process, including web payment.
Greatly simplified management of all aspects of processing of participant abstracts as well as production of Meeting Proceedings.
