	My room.

	The long (and not usually lit) corridor, which leads to...
	...the Pit of Ming.
	The bathroom is often home to a colourful selection of wildlife...
	...which has little trouble finding its way in.
	Still, things were better upstairs than downstairs.

	Oh, dear, sweet gas bottle, where were you on those cold winter mornings?
	On the surface, there might be nothing too unusual about this photo taken from inside the bathroom...
	...or indeed this one taken leaning out of the door. But in fact the bathroom is not on the ground floor, and the hot-water system is powered by a gas bottle precariously balanced on a three metre high pile of rubbish.
