Xiangshan (Elephant Mountain)

Part of the path up towards the summit. Elephant Mountain is a small mountain (more of a hill really) pretty much in central Taipei. It's a short climb up, but gives great view and the opportunity to see some interesting wildlife. |

One of its main claims to fame is the views it affords of the Taipei skyline and in particular Taipei 101, the world's tallest building. |

In reality, though, the skies of Taipei are rarely clear during the summer, and this is a much more representative (if less picturesque) version. |
